Homework help and tutoring

If your child needs homework help/ tutoring, we can sometimes reimburse for it.

We are currently working with three parties offering homework help/ tutoring. These three providers are very different from each other.

First read all the information very carefully. Look carefully at what suits your child best.

Then make the application through the application form. We will then let you know if the application is approved.

Message teacher or mentor

We need a message from the teacher, master or tutor. This message must state that homework help or tutoring is needed. Without this message, we cannot approve the application.

This can be an e-mail or WhatsApp message. You can also use this form: Notice from school for tutoring homework help. Make sure this is completed by the teacher, master or mentor.

Opportunities Academy Foundation

  • Primary education from group 3 onwards and secondary education
  • Guidance in groups of up to 4 pupils
  • Focus on language, maths and planning
  • Currently 3 locations in Utrecht: Kanaleneiland, Leidsche Rijn and Buurtcentrum Oase (next to Zuilen Station)
  • Leergeld reimburses a maximum of €400 per year. This allows your child to participate every week for one school year, except during school holidays.

Asha Foundation

  • Supervision: sometimes 1 supervisor to 1 pupil, sometimes small groups. Always 3 supervisors present.
  • Tutoring in subjects that children find difficult or for which they have homework. Extra attention to reading, maths and planning.
  • Location: Neighbourhood centre De Oase (next to Zuilen station), every Saturday from 12.00-14.00pm
  • Participating in Foundation Asha is free of charge.

Double030

Primary education

  • For pupils from grades 7 and 8
  • Focus on language or arithmetic
  • Guidance from qualified teachers
  • Guidance in groups of up to 6 students
  • Location: corner of Niasstraat/Vleutenseweg (Lombok)
  • Costs: Leergeld reimburses a maximum of €400 per year. In addition, as a parent, you must provide a personal contribution pay of €27.50 per month, maximum €275 per year. You can pay with the U-pas.

Secondary education:

  • For pupils at VMBO
  • Guidance from qualified teachers
  • Guidance in groups of up to 6 students
  • Location: corner of Niasstraat/Vleutenseweg (Lombok)
  • Costs: Leergeld reimburses a maximum of €400 per year. In addition, as a parent, you must provide a personal contribution pay of €35 per month, maximum €350 per year. You can pay with the U-pas.
