If you want to apply for a laptop, first read below which of the questions apply to you. There we will explain exactly whether or not you can apply to us.
For children who are not yet 18 years old and therefore not yet entitled to Student Finance, you can apply to us. We then submit an application to Kinderhulp. They assess this application. This may take several weeks. If the application is approved, you will receive a voucher to purchase a laptop via a web shop.
No, children who are at the mbo, are not yet 18 years old and are following a full-time course, can apply to the Student Fund of the relevant mbo school for the purchase of a laptop and learning materials. The school often wants an income statement. We can make this for your child. You can request this by e-mail: info@leergeldutrecht.nl.
Yes, we have laptops for primary school children. If there is no laptop at all in your family, we can provide one laptop for children in group 1 to group 5. If you have several children in group 1 to group 5, they can share the laptop together.
Children in grades 6 to 8 get their own laptop from us.
Note: We issue a maximum of 3 laptops per family. If there are more children, they have to share with each other.
If your child has a U-pas and it is still full, we ask you to buy a laptop from it. If the U-pas is needed for something else, please let us know. Then we will look together at the best way to use the U-pas.
If your child does not have a U pass, but your family is eligible for help from us, make an application. We will then assess it.
It depends on which school your child is at whether we can help or not.
We have an arrangement with some secondary schools that does allow us to help buy a laptop for your child.
We do not have an arrangement with some secondary schools, which means we cannot help you buy a laptop for your child.
To request a laptop, tick below the option 'School costs secondary education and mbo/hbo/wo (e.g. laptop, homework assistance)'. Clearly state which secondary school your child attends. We will check whether there is an arrangement or not. We will then inform you.
